Like many devoted pet parents, our journey began at the end of a leash. When we adopted Barnaby, our rescue hound mix, daily walks were supposed to be the highlight of our routine. Instead, they quickly became a frustrating compromise.
Traditional pet store harnesses pulled tightly across his throat, causing coughing fits and armpit friction matting. Commercial nylon leashes were rough on human palms, and novelty costume bow ties frayed, drooped, or unclipped after the very first puddle splash.
We asked ourselves a simple question: Why should pet parents have to choose between clinical orthopedic equipment and charming, elegant accessories?
We spent eighteen months partnering with veterinary physical therapists, canine trainers, and master leather and textile craftspeople. The result is Taily & Bows: equipment built to withstand 380+ pounds of trail zoomies while looking sharp enough for Sunday brunch.
